Love Sun Body 100% Natural Origin Mineral Sunscreens are Truly Effective Sunscreens, Clinically Tested Hypoallergenic and Non-Comedogenic
Truly Effective Sunscreens
The FDA requires all sunscreen manufactures test sunscreen for SPF, water resistance and broad spectrum. As long as sunscreen has UVA and UVB protection, it can be labeled as broad spectrum.
European manufacturers must comply with a recommendation that all sunscreens must offer UVA protection that is at least 1/3 as potent as the SPF, or greater than 33% UVA protection. This provides a significantly greater amount of UVA protection than many American sunscreens, ensuring adequate UVA protection.
All Love Sun Body formulas meet the FDA requirements for broad spectrum and the more stringent European Commission's recommendation on UVA protection.
Hypoallergenic for Sensitive Skin
For many years, companies have been producing products which they claim are "hypoallergenic" or "safe for sensitive skin" or "allergy tested." Consumers with hypersensitive skin, and even those with "normal" skin, may be led to believe that these products will be gentler to their skin than non-hypoallergenic cosmetics. The cosmetic industry has been trying for years to block an industry standard for use of the term; in 1975; the USFDA tried to regulate the term 'hypoallergenic", but the proposal was challenged by cosmetic companies in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, which ruled that the regulation was invalid. Thus, cosmetic companies are not required to meet any regulations or do any testing to validate their claims.
